Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. Distilled CS does not operate servers that receive your data. There are no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and no analytics trackers embedded in the site.

Your assessment data

When you complete the maturity assessment, your answers, scores, company profile, and any optional company name you enter are saved exclusively in your browser's localStorage, a storage area that never leaves your device. We have no access to it, cannot read it, and it is not transmitted anywhere.

You can clear this data at any time from the assessment page using the "Clear & Restart" option, or by clearing your browser's site data.

Cookies

Distilled CS does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Your theme preference and a few UI dismissal states (such as closing the preview banner) are stored in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage. These are functional only and are never shared.

Infrastructure

Distilled CS is served through Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare's infrastructure processes standard request metadata (such as IP addresses) for the purpose of routing and security. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy, which we have no control over. We do not receive or store any of this data ourselves.

Third-party links

Some pages link out to external sites (GitHub, LinkedIn, and others). Once you leave Distilled CS, their privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data.

Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce features that change how data is handled (such as analytics or a contact form), this policy will be updated before those changes go live, and the "last updated" date at the top will reflect that.
